Herbs & Spices

By far my favorite plant to grow.....and so versitile and useful.

Did you know that you can use herbs & spices to help other plants like Lettuce grow?  Or that your Rose bushes would benefit from having mint growing around their base?  Or how about Orgegano....like pizza?

Herbs were the bread and butter so to speak of Irish Gardens. Why?  Simply speaking because of their smell.

Ever taken a wiff of Chocolate Mint?  Think Peppermint Patty. Or do you like the smell of Lemon's?  Brush your hand over a full crop of Lemon Balm and smell till your hearts content.

Herbs & Spices should be in every garden....indoor or out.  Not just for their companion planting attributes but because of their daily use.

Walking through the Greenhouse in the middle of a winter storm and smelling my Perennial Herbs growing as I let a breeze in is more soothing to me than a bath.....ok not really but pretty darn close.

So to the left you'll find (as they are built) links to the different herbs & spices that I have grown over the years.....a few that failed and others that thrived.  Either way your sure to learn something along the way that suites your garden or kitchen
